The Bible Says

There Are Some Mysteries God Does Not Choose To Reveal
by Charlie Grier

After the many times during the life of Daniel that God definitely answered his prayers, and after the many times God had revealed the future to him, there eventually came a time when God in effect said, “This is it. I know you are concerned about the future of Israel and I have revealed much of her future to you, but there are some secrets I do not choose to reveal at this time. Seal the book!” (See Daniel 8:25).

“I know, Daniel that you are concerned about future world events, and especially the awful Tribulation at the end-time, but I have revealed all that you need to know at this time --- Seal the book!” (See Daniel 12:4).

The Apostle John had a similar experience as recorded in (Revelation Chapter 10:1-4)

I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.” (Revelation 10:1-4 NKJB)

The entire book of Revelation was written for the express purpose of explaining future events to us. God’s people need to know what the Bible says about the future.

The rest of the world needs to know, also, but they don’t read the Bible and therefore are not informed.

In the Bible God has told us all we need to know about the days in which we live; how to find Christ as personal Savior; and how to live daily for Him. It tells us enough about Heaven to make us want to go there, but after we have read everything in the Bible about that glorious Home awaiting our Lord’s believing followers, it is commonly acknowledged that the half has never been told!

Why Doesn’t God Tell Us More About Heaven?

Heaven will be a glorious Place ---
“Sin shall never enter there”
We’ll meet our blessed Savior there!
Our Heavenly Father will be there, In Person!
The angels will all be there and we’ll hear them sing!
I can’t sing now --- but I’ll have a singing voice then!
Loved ones will be there and we’ll rejoice together!
Nothing ugly will be there --- all will be beautiful!
Everything we see will be a glorious surprise! Why?
Because the half has not been told!

Ten Thousand Times Ten Thousand

by Henry Alford
Ten thousand times ten thousand In sparkling raiment bright,
The armies of the ransomed saints Throng up the steeps of light:
‘Tis finished, all is finished, Their fight with death and sin:
Fling open wide the golden gates, And let the victors in.

What rush of alleluias fills all the earth and sky!
What ringing of a thousand harps bespeaks the triumph nigh!
O day, for which creation and all its tribes were made;
O joy, for all its former woes a thousand repaid!

O then what raptured greetings on Canaan’s happy shore!
What knitting severed friendships up, Where partings are no more!
Then eyes with joy shall sparkle, that brimmed with tears of late,
Orphans no longer fatherless, Nor widows desolate.

Would You Have Answers To All Your Problems?

Sometimes God In His mercy, and in some special way, reveals to us the answers to our problems. In the midst of some difficult situation we hear “a still small voice saying: “This Is the way, walk in it”” (Isaiah 30:21).

God knows the end from the beginning! You now know God has answered your prayer! You are assured your loved one is going to recover! You have faith to believe that mortgage is going to be paid! How do you know? God has spoken to you and though the problem still looms ahead, you are no longer worried. You have full assurance that God has heard and answered your prayer. PRAISE THE LORD!

But Suppose Those Needs Are Not Met?

There are three things we must do:
Pray about each matter till we are sure it is God’s will.
Be willing to accept God’s will, whether or not it is what you wanted.
Wait, in faith, until God reveals His perfect will.

We Sometimes Want All The Answers Right Now!

If God sees fit, He may say “SEAL THE BOOK.” He is not obligated to answer our whims. He wants to share His secrets with those who walk with Him and do His will, but in His divine wisdom He knows what is best for us. A few dedicated followers are able to sing and experience the reality of that beautiful song:

And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own!
And the joys they share
As they tarry there
None other has ever known!
