  The Bible Says
“One dark, gloomy, rainy morning while I was on a speaking trip, I went into a hotel coffee shop in an Indiana town. I took a sat at a table for two and noticed a man at the door with a look of happiness on his face. The hostess brought the man over to my table and asked if I minded if he sat with me and of course I welcomed him. We were by the window and you could hear the drumming of the rain outside. But he greeted me by saying, “Isn’t this a terrific morning!” “Well, yes, I guess it is,” I said. “It’s raining though.” “Ah, yes,” he continued. “But look at all those raindrops glistening like diamonds. Isn’t it beautiful?” then he changed the subject. “You know there is something marvelous about breakfast in a hotel dining room, isn’t there?” Well I am an enthusiastic person, but I figured this was really putting it on a bit thick. So I said, “I’m interested in your vibrant attitude. You seem so alive. How did you get this way?” “Well sir,” he answered, “Some time ago I was in a serious accident. While the doctors were working on me in the hospital, I could hear a voice saying, “There isn’t much chance for this fellow.” And even in my bewildered state I thought, “Oh, I don’t want to die!” “It was touch and go for days, but, by the grace of God, I got well. And now it is all different, so unbelievably wonderful. It’s as if I never really lived before. People are beautiful; the world is beautiful; even simple things are exciting.” “What had happened to this man was that he had experienced a new awareness of life, a deeper sensitivity. A keen delight had been put on this thing called life. “Easter comes to remind us that life is not just for now, it is forever. Jesus said, “Because I live ye shall live, also.” (John 14:19). He was telling us that life has two sides, this side and the other side. “But the Resurrection is much more than a single event that happened over 2,000 years ago. It is also a contemporary process whereby the spiritually dead, the unhappy, the sinful, the weak, find new life through JESUS. “Life can be ordinary, or it can be great. Easter is a perfect time to wake up and become enthusiastically alive, knowing that because He lives, we may live also.
Unquote. For the life that is to come, For the life which is eternal When our earthly life is done. Have we lived the way we should have Overcoming sin and strife? Have we lived the Golden Rule way, Have we Christianized our life? Prepare us, Mr. Preacher, As we go along life’s way, Good deeds should be our motto -- And please teach us to pray For our sins -- we have so many And we need them washed away. We really must remember that There’ll be a Judgment Day. Prepare us Mr. Preacher, For our life is fleeing fast, We still are in the present, But we’ll soon be in the past. Then we’ll thank you Mr. Preacher For the path you put us on, Which led us on to glory And our blessed Heavenly Home. When Mary first met Jesus she was demon possessed. Jesus delivered and saved her and her love for Him was so unwavering she followed him from that day until the day He ascended back to Heaven. She also ministered to Him “of her substance” (Luke 8:3) and never left His side. Others forsook Him and fled, but she was present during His crucifixion. She led the other women in anointing His dead body, and was rewarded for her faithfulness by being the first to see the living Christ after His Resurrection (Mark 16:9). She then became the first evangelist by hurrying to the Apostles and sharing the good news, with them. “Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord . . .(John 20:18).
