The Bible Says . . .

IT’S TIME TO FACE REALITY

GOD SAID

Be fishers of men . . . You catch ‘em, He’ll clean ‘em.
A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.
Don’t put a question mark where God put a period.
Don’t wait for 6 strong men to take you to church.
Exercise daily. Walk with the Lord!

Forbidden fruits create many jams.
Give God what’s right, not what’s left!
Give Satan an inch and he’ll be a ruler.

God doesn’t call the qualified,
He qualifies the called.

God grades on the cross, not on the curve.

God loves everyone, but probably prefers
“fruits of the Spirit,” over religious nuts.

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

Having truth decay? Brush up on your Bible!

He who angers you, controls you!

He who is good at making excuses is
seldom good for anything.

He who kneels before God
can stand before anyone!

Kindness is difficult to give away
because it keeps coming back.

Most people want to serve God,
but only in an advisory capacity.

Never give the devil a ride!
He will always want to drive!

Nothing ruins the truth like stretching it.

Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining
when Noah built the ark.

“Pray” is a four letter word
that you can say anywhere.

Prayer -- don’t give God instructions-
just report for duty!

The will of God will never take you
where the grace of God can not protect you.

This Church is “Prayer conditioned.”

To be almost saved is to be totally lost.
WARNING; Exposure to the Son may prevent burning!
Watch your step carefully! Everyone else does!
We set the sail; God makes the wind

Wisdom has two parts:
1) Having a lot to say.
2) Not saying it.

Worry is the darkroom in which
*negatives” are developed.

HOW TO STAY SAFE IN THE WORLD TODAY

1. Avoid riding in automobiles because they are responsible for 20% of all fatal accidents.

2. Do not stay home because 17% of all accidents occur in the home.

3. Avoid walking on streets or sidewalks because 14% of all accidents occur to pedestrians.

4. Avoid traveling by air, rail, or water because 10% of all accidents involve these forms of transportation.

5. Of the remaining 33%, 32% of all deaths occur in hospitals. Above all else, avoid hospitals.

6. You will be pleased to learn that only .001% of all deaths occur in worship services in church, and these are usually related to previous physical disorders. Therefore logic tells us that the safest place for you to be at any given point in time is at church!

7. Bible study is safe too. The percentage of deaths during Bible study is even less.

8. For SAFETY’S SAKE -- Attend church and read your Bible. . . IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE.

PARADOXES OF CHRIST

  • He was the Light, yet He hung in darkness on the cross.

  • He was the Life, yet He poured out His soul unto death.

  • He was the Rock of Ages, yet His feet sank into the deep waters.

  • He was the Son of God, yet He died a felon’s death.

  • He was holy, undefiled, separated from sinners and knew no sin, yet He was “made sin” when He took the guilty culprit’s place and suffered in his stead.

  • He bade the weary to come to Him for rest, yet not on earth could He find rest until He said, “It is finished,” and gave up His life to God.

  • He was the Mighty God, yet He became a man and was crucified through weakness.

  • He was the Image of the Invisible God, yet His visage was marred more than any man.

  • All the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Him, yet He took on Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men.

  • He spake, and it was done; He commanded and it stood fast; yet He humbled Himself and became obedient -- even unto death.

  • He was the desire of all nations, yet He was despised and rejected of man.

  • He was the Fountain of Life, yet upon the cross He cried, “I thirst.”

  • Can you understand these mysteries? These are the things that angels desire to look into. The heavens cannot contain Him, yet He died for us.

    -- Faithful Words

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed.

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way, and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not His mouth . . . and He bare the sins of many; and made intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:4-7,12b).
