THANKSGIVING DAY

Its fun to go to Grandmother's house
On Happy Thanksgiving Day!
She always seems to understand
Whatever we do, or say.
We romp and play as much as we like -
Thanksgiving's a day of cheer!
Possibly, Grandmother may be glad
It only comes once a year.
I know there'll be turkey, and cranberry sauce,
And cookies and cakes galore;
And no matter how much we pile on our plate
We always come back for more!
Then Grandfather reads from the Bible;
In his quaint, old-fashioned way.
We all sing songs of Thanksgiving and Praise!
And find it a pleasure to pray.
Its fun to go to Grandmother's house -
We always wish we could stay.
A day of joy for each girl, and each boy,
'TIS HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!
